This training reflects the latest ECC science and findings from the 2011 United States Lifeguard Standards Coalition Report.The purpose of the American Lifeguarding course is to teach candidates the Knowledge and skills needed to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. The course content and activities prepare candidates to recognize and respond quickly and effectively to emergencies and prevent drowning and injuries.

Upon successful completion of the Lifeguard course, each participant will receive an American Lifeguard Certificate indicating Lifeguard, CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer and First Aid, which are all valid for 2 years under the new 2012 standards.
